Webbah's Immigration Policy

There is much talk about illegal immigration and they just released the Kennedy/Kyle/McCain 1000 page bill that has to pass the house and senate.

My policy is quite simple.

There is no need for some comprehensive immigration policy, it's just to gain the Latino vote.

Leave the illegals right where they are - in their crappy jobs with no chance of advancement up the latter. That is their punishment for sneaking into the country.

Incidently, what if I snuck into a $1,000 Democratic or Republican fund raiser for a free meal? What would they say? What would the do? They would say, son you can't you can't just sneak in and I would reply why not and they would say we have rules and kick me out.

2006 Mid Term Elections

The mid-term elections are a few weeks away. The Democrats may take back the house while the Republicans will retain control of the senate. This is the best senario in MHO.

If the Republicans maintain control of both the House and the Senate Americans will have more of the same lopsided, failed policies. If the Democrats take control of both the House and the Senate, they are going to turn this country into Big Mexico with their disturbing immigration policies. In either of these two ourcomes, Americans will be the big loser. The framers must be turning over in their graves.

Is President Bush Drinking Cool Aid?

In some past news clips, president Bush says he understands that some want to sneak across the border to get more money to feed their families.

So why does he think that if he passes his guest worker program immigrants will just pack up and leave when their guest worker visa expire?

The 6 Port Takeover

An Arab company will be taking over operations at six major U.S. ports.

Whatever the arguments are on both sides of the issue, let's just keep it simple.
Why in the world would the Bush administration take even the slightest risk when it comes to terrorism? This kind of goes hand and hand with the border issue.

The Bush administration and the Republican party want to confuse you.
Aren't they all about terrorism? Don't they keep National Security front and center?
Isn't that going to be Carl Rove's theme in the 06 elections and maybe even in 08 as well?

It's a smoke screen. Republicans are all about money. Money trumps everything. Selling the ports is needed for global trade they say. Wait, we are in a war on terror. Same thing with the borders, the Bush administration knows America is fed up with the millions of illegal's flooding over the border every year. Unsecure borders can't be good for National Security.

Again it's a money thing. Providing cheap labor trumps National Security.

How can anyone even vote for a party that says one thing and does another?

Al Gore's Comments

Former VP Al Gore made some silly comments in Saudia Arabia last week but it got burried by the Cheney nonsense.

Bill O'Reilly jumped on the story like a starving dog on a pot roast dinner citing that the such comments are bad for the country and further ignite terrorist attacks. Even if Gore had made the comments in this country O'Reilly would have said the same thing.

I recall president Bush saying "we will not waiver" when it comes to terrorism.
So what O'Reilly is saying is that we should limit exercising one of the very freedoms we are defending in the first place. But isn't that waivering?

Dick Cheney

Dick Cheney accidently shot his buddy with bird shot while quail hunting. This has been the topic all week. Anyway, why isn't Cheney out hunting the terrorists and leave the helpless quail alone?

Although getting shot is no laughing matter and we wish the injured gentleman a full and fast recovery what is a laughing matter is the spin.

We all know Cheney wanted to control the story, hence the 22 hour delay. This is how they think. They all think in terms of political power, how to get and once they have it how not to lose it.

Cheney interviewed with Fox's Brit Hume. FNC is GOP tv. They love the Bush administration. He said he takes full responsibility, glad to see someone in politics taking responsibility for something. After all whom does he want blame, the quail?

What's even worse is FNC had several guests telling us what a swell guy Dick Cheney is. I don't see it, the polls don't reflect it.

This guy is next in command of our country. What matters is his judgement, his decision making and his honesty.

The Democrats Are Angry

The New York Times published something about the Democrats being angry. I didn't read it but had Fox and Friends on and they were talking more about the Democrats than the party they back.

This brings up two ironic thoughts I had. One was just minutes ago, when I was writing the Cavuto, Limbaugh post. I was wondering if Limbaugh ever listened to a recording of himself? I remember a mother and daughter that always were at each other. I recorded about 5 minutes of them and played it back for them. They made me turn it off.

The second thought occured a about two weeks ago, I was watching someone on tv and remember saying to myself, the Democrats won't win until they get over the anger.

I'd say some Democrats are angry but I think the party is frustrated. They lost the 2000 election by a ballot fluke and the Republicans duped many American's over the gay marriage issue in 2004.

I get the feeling that Republicans don't really like gays, although they'll never admit it. Gay people don't bother me one way or another. Weather gays get married or not has no effect on my life what so ever. I stressed this point over and over again during the 2004 election. As a matter of fact, I'm trying to think back to the last time I actually saw a gay couple. I can't believe so many got duped by Carl Rove.

Ok, back to the angry Democrats. They need to curb the Bush bashing. There are just too many facts they could be using. "The Republican party wants to start a guest worker program that is going to give your job away because they only care about corporate America."

Rush Limbaugh on Cavuto

I happened to catch Neal Cavuto's interview with Rush Limbaugh and it made me think back to the first time I ever heard Rush Limbaugh. I can't remember the exact date but it was many, many years ago. I was flipping through my car radio and came across this loud mouth. That mouth was Rush Limbaugh. I listened to him for about 5 or 10 minutes and never listened to him ever again until the Cavuto interview.

There is just something I find disturbing about people so far on one side or another.
I think they are bad for America. I put Hannity, Coultier and Limbaugh in this category. I often tell people be weary of those with an agenda. These people want to brain wash you. They don't incourage independent thought. Their sell is "The right wing is always right and the left is always wrong."

The signs are always obvious. They bad mouth the Democratic and plug the Republicans all in the same sentence. Another sign is when the polls are not in their favor they dismiss their credibility but if the poll is in their favor it is gospel.

In that Cavuto interview, Limbaugh contradicted himself about 3 times. However, he was right about one thing, the Democrats need to be more genuine.

After Limbaugh, Cavuto had Alan Dershowitz on. Dershowitz just gave straight talk, without promoting his or any political agenda. The contrast between just hearing the the facts and someone promoting and agenda was uncanny.

Sean Hannity and Fox News

Normally I change Hannity and Coombs. I can not stand Sean Hannity. I think he is bad for the country. Coombs is ok though, a little weak in his arguements but ok just the same. Anyway, I was on my way out the door and some guy was on and although I didn't quite catch the full segment, he was accusing Hannity of "Cheezy Ambushes". Something to do with a controversial cartoon.

"Cheezy Ambush" is the perfect statement. I've been saying FNC sets people up big time. Uusally Democrats. However, Bill O'Reilly is the worst. I used to watch him but have come to realize his agenda. It is pretty much the ACLU and the Liberal Media night after night.

I call him a Bush protectionists. He will not report on anything that will discredit the Bush administration except maybe if the omission will appear too obvious, like the border issue. Watch the next time bad Bush polls come out, he'll play them down.

He likes to discredit and embarass Democratic guests he is not in agreement with. He had that mock Kerry interview in the O4 election for refusing to appear on his show, burried Susan Estridge one night when she was promoting her Hillary Clinton book, but gives Dicks Morris a pass when he is promoting his Condi vs. Hillary book.

Actually most of Fox News omits newsworthy items? Fox and Friends are really guilty at it. If you watch Lou Dobbs you get more of a snapshot of what is going on in the country. It may be a little exaggerated but Fox News deliberately omits information that may be bad for the Bush administration.

Plus you can always tell where one of these people stand. Fox and Friends had Col. Hunt on and he wouldn't spin it their way and you could see it in their faces and hear it in the tone of their voices, they weren't too happy about it. Don't they know Hunt is a straight shooter?

If you have time at 6pm est. flip between CNN's Lou Dobbs and Fox's Brit Hume and see what each is covering.
